bolt like this? Best way to describe it is a tapered head allen bolt. It's the bolt that holds the ball joint to the hub (normally there are two). Local hardware stores don't have anything like it. Thanks in advance....

Been there and done that with you lol. Take the other bolt off and take it to Ace, Homedepot, etc... match the threads up with a bolt that has the same threads (can't remember what size they were :ermm: lol) Purchase a set of washers with these as well (4 will be needed for each side). With red loctite, your new bolts (matching in thread and length, a little longer won't hurt) here's your fix ;) An impact wrench won't hurt either  but not needed.

so you didn't use a tapered head? Matching the threads shouldn't be a problem.

I didn't use a tapered head. I got my bolts from Home Depot. They're grade 8 SS bolts. Home Depot has a bolt identifier (what I call it lol) where you can take bolts in and find out what size and thread pattern they are. I scrapped the the hex head bolts and went with the conventional bolts to really secure them with my impact. But red loctite and elbow grease should be fine.
