No pics...yet. Trying to get up on my research before buying. Having never been a Ford person I have absolutely no idea what's "normal" for these cars. Obviously, terrible smoking or drips on the ground is a pretty clear sign to stay away. I want some detailed stuff of what to look for specifically.

Svttech.com
Corral.net
Moddedmustangs.com

Google search.

The cobra is just like buying anything else, check for knocks, oil leaks, smoke, make sure all the gears shift etc.. How much are you going to buy one for? The termi is my dream car.

The handful I'm looking at are between about 18 - 23. There are some ridiculous ones at 29k that have less than 5000 miles on them. Truthfully, I'm looking at the ones in the high teens that have around 50k miles on them. The motor is coming out anyway for a bottom end rebuild and then a Kenne Bell 2.8H kit.

It started out as a discussion on a brand new F-150 SuperCrew 4x4 Platinum Edition but negotiations with the dealer fell through and I wasn't willing to pay what they were asking and turn my wife's van in. I then started looking at used trucks and keeping her van because she actually likes it with 2 small kids. I was heavy into hot rodding years ago but since my kids I've sold all my toys and have been without for over 6 years now. I was with my brother this weekend and he bought a brand new Camaro SS and we were out screwing around and now I have the itch again.

My wife quit working when our first child was born and since then our oldest daughter had to have surgery, my wife had numerous doctor visits due to a crazy injury and I had hernia surgery in April. Even with insurance the bills add up in a hurry. Now that I'm coming to the end and will be 100% debt free again other than my mortgage I have money burning a hole in my pocket:macho

Yup ! svtperformance.com is where its at.
One of the main things to look for on these cars are the "head tick". Some of the early 03's were diagnosed with this problem, Ford covered it under warranty anyways, but i personally would stay away.

I sold my cobra for an e46 m3 last year, as much as i love the handling, and luxury of the m3, i miss that raw cobra power :(
