what octane would you run if all you have is a slip on, sparks key, and filter?

those accessories have nothing to do with octane.

I'm assuming you have a stock piston, stock compression?
If so, you'd be just fine with regular pump gas.

you don't need to run higher octane, until you are running higher compression.

87-93 is all you need.

i run 87 but sparks said it makes it a little hotter so i didn't know if i needed to run higher. thanks

With your stock engine and your mods, you will be fine on 87 octane fuel. Higher compression over 10:1 and the sparks +6 key, will need a higher octane level of fuel to prevent pinging. You have nothing to worry about.
