Ya'll are probably tired of me posting but i am going into a 440, i have had nothing good to say about the stock carbs on my 400. I am wanting to go into a high performance carb, what is your opinion on that? I am going to have the money but i don;t want to spend over 300 on a carb. What options do i have. ? i would rather go big or go home on this area, its not worth the hassle thus far on the stock carburetor. Thanks

The FCR carbs work great on the EXs ans you can get them fairly cheap these days.

For a 440 I reccomend the 05 450r carb, at 42mm its the biggest out of all the other carbs, if you get a FCR get the 41mm.

Is there a certain model number on the fcrs? That I need to use? Thanks

if your going to spend the money on an FCR just get a lectron. it doesnt use jets. its used a metering rod and can be tuned with the turn of the rod. it will also out perform a standard carb.
