is my ball glove done?

pulled it out of the bag after about a ten year stay put my hand in it to play a little catch before practice tomorrow and pulled it out and my hand is black i guess the glove is dry rotted any thing i can do?

maybe try cleaning it out inside by vacuuming it with a small extension to fit in the spaces for the fingers and stuff... then do the usual oiling of the glove on the outside like you would when you buy a new one.

My guess is after a fair amount of use the black will wear off inside and it'll be fine... If the glove feels good on your hand, works well and the leather on the outside isn't ruined then I would use it. Nothing like a good worn in baseball mit :cool:

i ended up getting a new one today mine started was shot after a few minutes of catch this morning
