So a guy wants to trade me a 2009 Ds450 for my 03 rc51 street bike. Im asking 4100 for my bike. And am really just trying to get the cash out of it. Since i have a fully built honda already. Would anyone be interested in buying it if i traded. Ill sell it for $4100. Heres the specs.

2009 Ds 450
Stage 2 race kit? whatever that consist of. i know it has motoworks system, twist throttle, and some other stuff. All stock stuff and the original thumb throttle come with it. ( thank god. lol)
Has maybe 5 hours total on it.
I dont have pics on this computer but you can immagine what it looks like. Brand new bike with less than 5 hours on it.

Yall think i could get 4100 out of it? And if anyones interested text me and ill go ahead and do the trade. 828-506-3762. Thanks guys

I'm guessing it is 50'' wide. I bought a race kit for my 08 which consisted of a pipe, some re-inforcements, long travel a-arms, fronth and rear long travel shocks and a 50'' axel. His is probably the same. I can't see why you couldn't sell it for $4100 you can't buy a new 09 for 5000 I don't think.

Ok so that guy sold his Ds base model for $4100 the other day. Now im working on a trade with a 09 Ds450x mx model. I think i want to keep the quad tho and race it. Opinions? The X MX model can am or a completely decked out Honda Trx450? I can trade for either. Hows the stock Ds mx model stack up to a full long travel honda?

If your motor is built in your Honda, you will not like the DS450 power. It has almost no low end power, you really will have to rev it out. The shocks are awesome, and the XMX a-arms and shocks are long travel. I run Neatv-mx A class, and won 2 nationals in B class this year all of stock shocks. If you want to make those stock shocks better, Rocket Ron makes the stock shocks much better, for a pretty cheap price.

Im also tired of rebuilding motors in my honda to tho. So im banking on since its brand new itll last a while no problem. I hope. So once you get it revved out hows the power?

There are ways to get equivilant power-to-weight ratio's to the HON, thats been proven by the race teams. It may cost more since the the HON has been on the market longer, parts are cheaper and there is more experienced builders on the market.

We only have three builders, BCS, MW's, and Rossier I can think of all of which do a pretty good job for a reasonable price. I have seen a drastic reduction in part cost over the years and improved availability on EBAY/etc and expect it to continue in the coming years.
