I am looking to get a new chain and sprockets
What is a good strong brand of chain without spending a fortune.? Rentahal, DID I have been using a Renthal 14 tooth up front. Looks like good quality. How are there chains? There back sprockets? . What do you think of O ring chains verses Non O ring

Any help would be appreciated.

I use DID and Sunstar. I have never had any problems. I am pretty sure you have to get O ring or Xring which is better.

Hi,

We sell mostly Tsubaki or DID chains to our customers. The Vortex or Sunstar sprockets are a good seller too. Those brand chains & sprockets are very good quality.

My husband, Mike who races in the Pro Production class at the GNCC's, uses Tsubaki X-ring chains & Sunstar sprockets. He really likes them.

Hope that helps.

Trish

The 100 link DID X-Rink chain is like $100 isn't it? Is Tsubaki any cheaper price wise without sacrificing quality?

Thanks for the help everyone
Here is a another question. How many links needed for a 15 38 set up, (Stock) however i change to a 14 tooth once in a while for differnt conditions and thinking about going to a 15 / 39 Can I have one lenght that may work for these different set ups with eneough to adjust.
Is my thinking right here. I want to get in between the set up of 14 front and 38 rear. Slower top end and shifts come to quick.
Is 15 39 going to give me in between stock and 14/38 gearing

i have a friend whos gone through many chains. he wishes he would have just kept the stock! lol, but i wouldnt get a new chain unless u need one. DID makes the stock chains, so i would stick with them if i where to purchase another chain.
