No downside. But a 250EX is never going to be a power hitter, so it's kinda like a performance exhaust system on a Yugo. What's the point?

Since you can't change the gearing on the 250EX, there's only so far you can go with power increase before it's just silly, the first few gears become useless. So because you can't change the gearing, you can't race them in any normal race class, a Raptor 250 would walk all over it.

So, because you can't race them, nobody is ever going to bother to design an engine kit for it. Even though it's theoretically possible to increase the power, nobody is going to bother to design it, nobody is going to spend the money on the R&D.


I know you're looking for facts only, and this is my opinion. But what's the point of grinding the headers on a 250EX for a whopping 0.5% increase in horsepower, on a quad that you'll never get any serious horsepower out of anyways?
