Whats up everyone?
This is Jeff From WalshRC. Just wanted to give you guys a look at my TRX That I built. It has a Walsh lowering kit that lowers the quads center of gravity to prevent 2 wheeling and provide precise cornering. It consists of a lower adjustable sub, not the reg adj sub, an aluminum gas tank that is lower in the chassis, we drop all the bodywork and lower the radiator to centralize the weight. In the rear is an EZ25:17 swingarm and link along with Walsh billet fender brackets to replace the stockers that break all the time. the front end is a new set up that uses the LTR450 Spindles and hubs, with LTR style tie rods, Adjustable stem bottom for turning radius as well as less bump steer. This Front end Has like no bump steer and is straight up sick, the bike also uses Fox shocks with an RPM axle and carrier.and has a Walsh Huge intake for the TRX. the engine is a full race build with a CRF450 ignition and carb with a billet oversize Walsh Fuel nut to help stop the fcr stumble. Slipper clutch and Dasa exhaust. i plan on entering it in the next quad of the month so well see what happens. Well check it out and if you have any questions about anything feel free to pm me.

I know its a pain but can we see pics of the bike w/o plastics? I would like to see what has to be done to the frame. Nothing hits? Like the silencer on the antifade or the pipe on the back of the motor? It just looks like it would be a pain to install. The quad looks sick Jeff!!

Nice build! I did not see the aluminum tank, looks like plastic to me? Am I missing something?

The exhaust stays in the same spot. There is a new tab mount on the grab bar. The kit comes with tabs that weld onto the upper rad mount to lower the rad and front plastic, new inner front plastic mounts that bolt onto the frame, tabs to hold the back of aluminum tank that is rubber mounted in front and rear, new front tank rubber mount tabs that bolt to the tank, you have to move lower rad tabs lower in the frame, new aluminum fuel tank that uses the 08+ tank cover, subframe and exhaust mounts, as well as optional zues tabs to hold the front of rear fenders. Look close and you can tell. Nothing hits at all. I made detailed instructions that are step by step for instalation. It's very easy. You don't even have to take apart the bike to install. Just the plastic, tank and rad, airbox and exhaust. As well as sub to switch. Uses stock fuel petcock. Byrd, denoble and upperman along with other national racers ran this kit this year. It's the only way to make the Honda corner and ride like it's on rails.. It is a huge diff and is amazing. The kit retails for $1400. Which is a killer deal.

09-02-2010, 08:19 AM
How much moding to the plastic do you have to do?

Ellingsoc26
09-02-2010, 08:23 AM
How much do the hubs and spindles run ya as well?

JNWQUADMX
09-02-2010, 08:32 AM
you have to fit the plastic for a good clean tight fit. if you look close you can see what is needed. the LTR front end uses diff arms and stem then the std Walsh honda front end. you are responsibe for buying the hubs and spindles.

Ellingsoc26

Crap u need diff a arms too! O well haha what a arms do you run on then?

Is this like josh uppermans bike during the beginning of the 2010 season? i remember right before they put on the subframe it had a weird bend in it. i think i heard walsh made it. and he had and aluminum tank. It just has the cover right? really cool bike. just wanted to know if this was like uppermans bike?

I'm interested in the walsh fcr fuel nut? What does it do and how much?

Your exhaust wrap is on backward. :D

JNWQUADMX
09-02-2010, 09:01 PM
yes it is the same thing. The fuel nut is like 50 and it holds alot more fuel around the main jet to keep fuel from sloshing away from the Jet on a rough track and g-outs. its also has cooling fins to help keep the fuel cooler. and yeah it prob is on backwards, lol but it works for me and never comes undone. ive always done it like that, but what can i say, lol i guess i love to do things *** backwards sometimes.

So is the lowering kit 1400? Or does that include arms and all. I'm guessing you need to use the ltr brake calipers too??

JNWQUADMX
09-02-2010, 11:35 PM
the lowering kit is 1400. the front end is like 1500, stem is like 300. spindles and hubs are on you. I think some of the ATVRIDERS sponsors sell Walsh. they can prob give you some kind of deal. thanks

are those ltr a arms just on a trx or what is different about them? ive read that you can put ltr arms on a honda

JNWQUADMX
09-03-2010, 04:29 PM
all products are available now. No the front ends are diff. this is a custom TRX front end and stem set up to use ltr spindles and hubs. the arms and stem and tie rods must be used together

I'm interested in the rear subframe. Did I read correctly that this is a differant item than the adjustable subframe Walsh already offers? If so what all is involved in just lowering the rear/subframe? Just the frame itself?

DEVINF450R

I see what I am gonna purchase this winter if Walsh accepts my sponsorship request

JNWQUADMX

the sub is alot diff then our standard adjustable sub. the rails and mounts are all in dif locations. our std adjustable sub is perfect for those who want to lower seat hight and get lower. but for the performance of the lowering kit everything in the kit is needed to work together.

Thanks for the info But, i doubt the rest of the "package" would work for me...lol...I think your new sub frame would be a perfect set up for our race trikes. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff223/motomanimal32/TPC/100_7966.jpg

sick trx

what about the calipers? do the honda brakes mount up to the LTR spindles?

DEVINF450R
09-07-2010, 07:26 AM
No ltr brakes must be used for now but they said they are developing a relocation plate to use honda brakes. it has a retail price of $1200 for the LTR spindles, hubs, and brakes system. so im guessing that means they will be available through walsh.

I have a question about this system, I seen that you will be able to convert the Flow 34 front end to this for 880, does this mean that my current front shocks will work with this new front end?

Did you guys notice a big difference in bar height after installing the lowering kit?

pickard_47
09-07-2010, 10:36 AM
yea i did at first but since it doesnt change how it feels when you stand i just left it alone.

eastside 400
09-07-2010, 04:59 PM
your bar height wont change unless you put a different stem on with it. your not changing any suspension parts with the kit, the seat and grab bar will be lower but not the bars

pickard_47
09-07-2010, 05:22 PM
Ya I know its not gunna lower the bars obviously but it does lower the plastics and everything enough that it makes the bars feel higher than usual. All I was getting at was that I like how my bike feels when I stand up because its what I'm use to so I left it alone. But the lowering kit makes it handle 1000 times better

pickard_47
09-08-2010, 07:01 AM
Yea, no offense ro walsh but laegers hooked me up good and walsh didn't.

09-09-2010, 07:53 PM
hey man can you take a pic of your bike with the plastics off? im very interested in the tank on this thing and how it fits. if not i understand its a lot of work. also if you take the plastics off take a bunch of pics. id like to see everything thats involved with the lowering kit.

thanks man

hope you can help me out.

I could go for some pics also. There is a pic of just the parts on Walsh's site, but would like to see how it all goes together.

Also, what is the capacity of the new aluminum gas tank? I am guessing it is less then stock, just wondering by how much.
