I have a basically stock 400EX except for eliminator axle and .190 rears with holeshots. What would be the best thing to get for $300? I race mx and I'm an average C rider so would Works shocks w/o rez work. How much difference is there between rez or no rez?

They will not fade as fast with rezzies. Rezzies keeps the heat down and they will last longer.

hmm with 300$

a. Save the money for better shocks!

b. get a pipe, power kit, and lose the air box lid.

c. Renthals, Nerfbars, and a bumper..

you should be able to do one of those great combos for 300$

well it depends, if you have notice very hard landings and uncomfortable ride go with works with rezzies($525) but if not I would get the pipe, air filter and jet kit, for more torque and power. thats just my opinion.

save a little more and get some rezzies and if you don't have nerfs or a set of straiter bars I would get those. I would suggest saving even more money and getting some really nice shocks and making sure it'll be the last shocks you buy and suspension isn't something to slack on...

Personally i think the jet kits are a waiste of money. And im a guy that coul dmake money buy selling them. But i wont lie, they arent worth the money. if u go and buy 2-3 jets in the right range. Which for a stock EX with muffler and K&N Filter, anywhere frome 155-160 is a safe range to go with. But i would go with a aftermarket exhaust. You dont have to pay $300+ for a white brothers, becuase all of them are right around the 1-2 HP range. Even if u get a FMF or Pro Circuit, that would prob. suit you for now if your not a serious racer. Heck that did me just fine last year, i got 3rd place in the first year racer with some shocks and a FMF PC4 muffler. But if your lookin for the best bang for 300 i would have to say either muffler and filter, or save a few more bucks and get some front shocks. The back shocks on them really arent that bad. But thats only my opinion.

If you don't understand Jet Kits go to K&N engineering's webpage and read up on what you don't know about..:blah
