ok i have read a million and a half posts about hotcams, i now have the money for a cam, but is it worth it? i am running yosh slip on k &n filter jetted and 11:1 ? what will be the pros and cons for me? thanks

I would get it without a doubt especially with your 11:1. I have a stage 2 with stock piston and it still gave me huge gains mid to upper with some low too. Mainly mid like 2nd and 3rd gear. there will be no cons unless you install it wrong haha.

my only question is my future. lol i am planning on going huge with this motor i guess i will have to make sacrifices once the time comes. i hear that i cant use the hotcams if i stroke the motor? guess ill re sell it lol

my vote would be for getting one now, then if you dont like it with a stroker you can sell it and get a stage 3 or whatever you choose. steve

The stg 2 Hot Cam is a very good grind! And with a high compression piston expect your EX to spring into overdrive in the mid and topend rpm range, with stock like lowend torque. 11:1 compression and a stg2 should of been stock on the EX cause they work Awesome together for that machine!

Do the stg2 and be ready to hang on! You'll wish you would've done it sooner!

^ Thats how mine feels vs a stock bike. Granted I have a 416, I mildly ported and polished them, ground the headers, have a slip on and an 11:1 piston, stg 2 HC, and running 93 pump gas. I have just as much torque down low as up high..

Its insane really. Friend of mine has a bone stock with stg 1 HC and evenhe said, compared to his its a rocket.

My 416 – 121/2 to1 stage 2 cam with headers ground and slip on with the 450 carb rips but I still wish I had more. I guess it’s just a sickness. lol

My next build I’m just going to take it over to Rage and have Dee do his thing. I talked to him and he clams he can get 50 hp out of it and still hold up. that would be sweet.

More power is always more fun, it is indeed a sickness AADS..
