I needed to replace my chain and sprockets on my 89R and thought I would like to go 1 tooth larger on the rear. Well, it turns out that 14/39 puts me 1/2 link off on my chain. I can't believe all the adjustment in that carrier and I cant get it to work.

All the way out and it has 2-3" of slack in the chain (moving up and down) and all the way in it simply will not fit.

WTF?

Thats what I'm running on my 250R. One problem that I noticed on mine was the "brake stay" was hitting the swingarm keeping it from fully going forward. I took it off and ground it down a little. Since then no problems.

That sometimes happens especially with new or nearly new chain sliders and guides.

I seemed to have the same problem myself running extended and stock swingers with that combo. Your always at the end of the adjustment. And 1/2 links are hard to find anymore.
