None that I know of.

it will effect performance because instead of the exhaust exiting out quickly it will swirl around in the pipe and cause unwanted turmoil. Also if you have any type of powdercoat or paint stickers etc. on the pipe it will burn off.

You are noting that it causes the air to swirl around before exiting the muffler; I realize that jetting has more to do with air intake and less to do with air exhaust, but would the addition of packing when packing had previously been absent result in the bike needing to be re-jetted?

It shouldn't but you will find out when you repack.

Not to mention it would probably sound absolutely horrible and may possibly run worse.

I wouldn't do it.

Ive dynoed a quad with a burned out muffler that lost 1.5 horse compared to when we installed a freshed packed one a few minutes later. That was on a 53hp engine . I dont know how big a difference it would be on a weaker engine. Might be more or less.

rejet for ANY exhaust or intake changes, for packing i dont know but it sounds horible and loses power. that is why i bought a muffler with stainless packing :D

If your going to run it with no packing, you also have to run it with no oil.
report back with the results.
