should i buy it

i have the chance to buy a 2003 cannondale 440 for 650 bucks its in great condition but motor is loked up.... should i do it would it be easy to get parts for:confused:

If it was a speed maybe I would go 650 but a fx400/cannibal $500 would be the most Id pay for . Now if it was blaze or moto then $1000 to $1700 easy .
Parts are cheap and plentiful from several sources.
As far as the engine it could be hydrolocked from overfilling with oil or the crank ( most likely) was not updated and run till it failed. Or one of a bunch of silly things there are updates for.
If you are going to do learn the ins and outs of the basic updates and do the work yourself it wont cost to much but if you are going to have a shop do all the work for you for all issues then do not buy a Cannondale. You will be a broke and frustrated camper.

blaze was a woods version............the moto was just that.
