New Cylinder... That will be added to existing 2011 models that are out in the market and then on production models later in the year.

Looks to be a nice upgrade for an OEM cylinder....Has niuce little boost ports...Aluminum etc...

DRR must want to remain kings of that 50cc class with this move :)

Sell it and buy a 2011. Depends on were you are planning to run it and there rules. You can't put 2011 upgrades on a 09 and still be legal at the nationals in the stock limited class. You would have to run the 50 cvt 6-8 class thats if your rider is old enough.

our main series is worcs..

he races the 50cc stock 4-6yrs

stock is defined as
CVT ONLY, Tires, Sprockets, Handle Bars, Front Bumper, Nerf Bars, Twist Throttle may be changed ONLY!

the worcs crowd is pretty cool I don't think it would be a big deal if I put 2011 stock parts on a 2009 bike..

but curious what all is changed in the 2 years maybe it is worth it to buy a new one.

So you are asking other parents if its ok to run a elegal quad
against them. Thats like flagging down a police officer and asking him to give you a breathalizer cause youve been drinking.

Not a dumb $hit. You didnt ask for the rules you asked for input from worcs people. Read you post. You made it sound like you where asking the other worcs people if they would mine if you upgraded your quad with 2011 parts which would make the quad elegal in some disticts or tracks. Thats just the way I read it.

I believe it is legal if you cannot get the 2009 replacement part from the manufacturer then you can upgrade to whats currently available. I know in the stock classes in worcs they try to make it so you dont have to buy a new quad every year to compete, as it is an entry level class. Havent done the stock thing for a long time so dont quote me on the starting line! Send an email to Sean Reddish the promoter (sean@worcsracing.com) if you want the letter of the law. I helped him write the rules a couple of years ago for the youth classes but dont recall that scenario.

And guys give this guy a break i dont think he is intentionally trying to cheat anyone.

Yes if you can no longer get the stock replacement for those years then you can use what they give you as a stock replacement. Like they did with the swingarm. But the 2011s havent even come out yet so you know there are plenty of
castiron cylinders avalible.

thanks,
also at the first round of the world atv mx series,, sean pulled the 50cc stock parents to a huddle and said he was probbably going to do away with the 50cc stock and make it a production class. cause it is too hard to tech, all the companies have 50cc limited editions or special editions with shocks and everything, but he said watch for a post on the worcs website..
and that has been 8 or 9 months ago..

my son is only 4 and he isn't fast. I don't feel changeing anything would really give him any gain right now. but I like to learn all this so maybe in a few years we will need to do some upgrades or a new bike..
right now i am just thrilled that he is loving the sport.
