What length did Durablue make axles? I thought I had an Xc axle but I pulled my stocker down to compare and it looks like it is either +1 to +3 (if that's possible) or +2 to +4... I don't think its the later, but it is definitely longer than stock. Does that mean its not an XC axle? I thought XC's were -2 to +2 or -1 to +3.... thanks.

Durablue made stock width and +2+4.

Only XC axles are made by RPM at -2+1.

LSR made stock to +3 and now make +1+4.

RPM only makes +1+4 now as well.

thanks Kevin, can you tell what axle this is by the hub? I was told Durablue XC, but now this doesn't appear to be the case...

Troy, by the hub spacer configuration, it looks like a +2+4 axle. I used to have a Durablue +2+4 on my 250R. The thicker spacer is what is swapped back and forth around the hub to make it +2 or +4.

Yep, thats an ol Durabreak for sure.

One of those Durabreak axles moved my daughter from a 2nd place finish for the year to a 3rd on the last lap in the last race of the season in the womens class & then Durablue wouldnt do anything about that broke axle.

Whats the overall length of it?

I know a stock axle is approx 36" Long and a +2/+4 is about 40" Long.

Also, the smaller of the 2 spacers looks thinner than most +2/+4 Axles. I think those are about 1/2" and yours looks like it could be around 1/4"?

Yes it is about a 1/4" and it can't be placed on the other side of the hubs. If you look the splines are not cut to the step in the axle and the hub will not slide all the way to the step... at least the hubs I have, (I tried)... So the narrowest I can get it with the hubs installed is about 37.5", yes I know that's not even inches.

I have had this axle before, I remember I could not make it narrow enough, so I sold it and bought a RPM. The splines go all the way in on the RPM, making it adjustable from +1 to +4 rather than from +2 to +4. I was told my Durablue was called a 2+2 axle, so maybe that is what you have?
