85-86 era head pipe measurement please?

i need the outside diameter measured of the headpipe, where the midpipe joins. i need to order a new midpipe, but i'd be mad if it didnt fit on my 87 headpipe. im trying to rig a spark arrestor and they gave me a major runaround at the dealership.
