Honda 250x motor complete

Note sure the exact year but it’s a late 80’s early 90’s 250x motor. I was going to slowly build this but I have no time. The guy who had it told me that it ran good and all the gears worked including reverse he was swapping for a 350x.

However I will not guarantee that this motor will fire up. I have not tried.

I am local and have a 300ex that needs a motor. do you know what it would take to put this in? Is the wiring harness any different?

I am not sure, I know the motors are pretty much the same just a different stroke I think. But you would not have electric start with this motor. I know my 250x has a home made wire harness (not really a harness) and it works great.
