Im looking for some opions on shock setups. I know a lil about the different setups but not much. I trail ride and hair scramble mostly so wondering what people thought about Zero preload setup vs regular preload. And see what everyone is running

The ZPS spring is mostly a sales gimmick. It allows you to run essentially negative preload on your spring stack, while keeping your springs from moving. The ZPS spring or negative preload allows you to use either a stiffer spring, or a longer extended length, and still have the correct sag.
If your springs are correct for your weight and setup, you shouldn't need much preload on your springs. Your setup goal should be minimal spring preload; a preloaded spring will take more force to initially compress than an static/non-preloaded spring. Therefore, a preloaded spring will ride rough when compared to a minimally preloaded spring.
