came across an awesome video of Ricky Carmichael and had to share it with you guys and girls. dude deff is an insparation and is a true roll model. his win record and his talent on a dirtbike isnt the only reason why he is the Greatest of All Times. its cause he is a true champion on and off the track that makes him the real G.O.A.T. in my eyes..

also, for those of you who never of heard of/seen the Motocross Des Nations (MXDN) before, this is a lil insight on whats its all about...

heres a story from racer x last week that i found, as another great reason rc is a great ambassador for the sport.

Changing gears, let me tell you another story about Ricky, as well as one about Sarah Whitmore. Sarah drove five hours last Sunday evening from her home in Northern Michigan to the funeral for future WMX racer Ashlee Soklaski, whose family and friends bid her farewell the best way motocross racers know how: in their riding jerseys, and with their bikes out in the parking lot. The ceremony was fantastic, and Ashlee sounded like a true leader in everything she did, from basketball to motocross to being a big sister. During the eulogy, her stepfather handed her dad a letter that Ricky Carmichael himself wrote, explaining how sad he was that our sport lost a great person. RC was there at Loretta Lynn's the Thursday afternoon that Ashlee crashed, and he inquired about her often in the days that followed. He couldn't be there on Monday in Michigan, but he wanted to let Ashlee's family and friends know that he was thinking about her, as did Sarah. Well done, both of you.

Got to meet him at redbud last year and just hearing him talk to people there was awesome. He is just one of the nicest people on the planet. And no one can whip like he can across larocco's leep!

Ricky is truly a great human being.
Pro athelete on and off the track. Inspirational would almost be an understatement.
Records may be broken in time, but I think that Ricky will carry the symbolism of being the greatest, forever.
