Got the CR up and running. Would have taken longer but I found a wiseco crank on the local classifieds for $90. It was brand new still sealed so I snagged it. The crank was ceased up on the bottom half so we threw the new one in and it runs like a champ. We painted the frame and case flat black while we were at it.

Here's a run clip- It's still processing so it might take a minute.

what year is it? it looks good, but i'd get rid of the oversized tank if i were you. the extra weight of the fuel plus rider will kill the power on that bike, not to mention it'll make it feel top heavy. but it looks nice and clean. good luck with it

either a fmx'er or a wannabe had it unless you trimmed it.

The number plates were cracked so we just chucked them. We'll be ordering new ones.

I hope the Wiseco cranks are better for the bikes than they are for the quads. Heres my TRX250R crank after about 4 tanks of fuel.:(

Bummer. I've never really heard anything bad about anything Wiseco makes as far as quality. Maybe you were unlucky and got one of the few bad ones, or it came from a bad batch? Sorry to see that.

Wiseco has made a bunch of bad cranks. Check this thread out and see for yourself.

That is in fact an oversized tank. Here is a pic of my 96 that day i brought it home from the dealer. They used the exact same tank as the 94

-- I've never seen bad Wiseco cranks until now. Thanks for showing me that, I'll be going with a hot rods when I stroke the YFZ.

if i had to guess if it is cut its for more air, the stock cr's have slits for air inlits on each number plate...

monster, metal mulisha stickers, and chopped fenders are the first mods for wanna be freestylers

Thanks for posting that, I thought it was the stock tank. I tried looking for pics and they all looked the same except for yours. I don't plan on filling it all the way at anytime so I think it will be fine anyway. It will only be ridden long enough for me to decide if I like bikes again anyway. :p If I get into it I'll be buying a 250F.

I love the old look of the CR125's, they apparently had beast engines, too.

Buddy of mine had a basically stock 97 125. It didn't have much bottom, even compared to other 125s, but the thing would flat haul on top end.
