Will that mount on an 04 ex? I know the wiring's different. Im going to rewire using the method posted on this site. (adding a brake switch on the lever)

Should, might have to fab up some extensions for the mount but I doubt it.

I need a definite yes. Or I've got another idea. Trying to stay away from the fabbing up things right now

will not bolt right onto an 04 you will need to make little brackets for this to work. i made brackets for my 02 in about 10 minutes

Would you mind sharing your method? If its that simple I will consider doing it. Thanks

Hmmm beags86. I have that exact same one and it mounts right up to my 02. I put in my 400ex when I'm racing and the 450 when I'm not. The 450R has threaded posts with nuts on the back but the 400ex is just posts with knobs on the end. They both go in the same rubber bracket on mine anyway. Another thing that can be done is a LED brake light mounted to the back of the air box. I've seen a couple of those and they look slick.

I have the same one also and it does bolt right up.Just use the rubber mounts off of your old tail light and it will be just like your old light with the added brake light.

i just wired up a 450r tail light and the 400ex rubber mounts will have to be reused and wire the 2 wires into the stock harness and done...took 10 minutes!

well the stock rear tail light was long gone when i got my 02, so i didn't have the small rubber bushings, so i made a two little metal brackets to make mine work.

I'm sorry, the PO? Previous owner right? Anyway, I've got the info on the brake lever just not the foot brake yet.

Don't be a smart@ss. I'm trying to give you help and you knew what the abbreviation meant. I was typing from my cell phone trying to give you a quick answer but I guess that's not good enough for some people. Oh and by some people I'm referring to you just so there isn't any confusion. Good luck

Yes.I wired mine up to both. You need a hydraulic switch. You remove the banjo bolt on your rear master cylinder and replace it with the switch. If I remember right, the thread is 12mm x 1.25 and the switch is about $20

I got mine off Ebay and I think you can get them at auto parts stores and I know Summit Racing also sells them. Also it is 10 x 1.25 or 10 x 1.5.Make sure you get the right one before you order.Just check the pitch on your banjo bolt and youll be good to go.
