Long travel fox floats or not

I know the long travel works better but how much better? I Am thinking of getting another zuki and running standard travel fronts and a podium x rear to save some cash. Dont race much anymore but still faster then the average rider. Has anybody rode the two back to back?

own a 07 with stock front end and an 08 with JB front end and there is a difference but all i can tell is in the REALLY rough and maybe turns on the brakes a little bit. I am sure others can give you some more input but i am not the kind of rider with alot of bike feel

When it gets rough you will feel the difference and the shocks will not fade as bad at the end of the moto. With the right a arms with quad will handle much better
