I just got bored and figured "what the heck, these guys deserve there own thread every now and then" lol, honestly I think the two would make good moderators, I'd vote for em lol. STEVE AND RON ARE AWESOME!!! lol, now that thats outta my system, anyone else who wants to show these guys some appreciation post here :D , lol, Steve and Ron hardly ever ask questions they usually are answering them so I decided they needed a thread dedicated to them. :D

Steve and Ron do an awesome job at helping on the site, if it wasnt for me though Steve wouldn't know half that he does :devil:, but yea I monitor this section alot, more so at night than anything. I really dont do anymore stuff to the quad since I moved away from it so this site is the only thing I have thats close.

Yea, I currently live in Green Bay now with the wife since she landed a nice job so its easier for her to work and us to go to school otherwise it was a 45 minute drive one way for school and 1 hour one way for the wife to go to work everyday. I only get to ride the quad on weekends if we go up to my folks place, otherwise im on the computer steady with school.

I too would have to say Steve and Ron deserve a metal for helping out around here. They both know a lot! Ron you even went way out of your way with the 450 carb and renting a dyno, I think I speak for most in saying thank you for doing this and getting hard numbers on this subject. Other members that have also been helpful I think we should add Pipeless, Wheelie and Honda#4.

i figured i would add this to the discussion... so i got bored today so i got myself a 162 today to mess with. it is great for the warmer stuff from when i got it tuned when it was cold. i went off of the jets r us chart to determine what to go to for my temp since it was perfect when colder. it said to go 6 sizes so i went 6 and bam, kicked it back into overdrive again like it ran when i had it tuned when cold. now i have my different settings for hot and cold temps. :D the dyno guy that tuned my machine at the time, along with Ron and I, when we talked, were discussing the big jetting changes that occur on this engine with such a big carb. every day it is different unlike the 400 carb which seemed to run much better as an all around carb. I am def a firm believer in that this carb requires more adjustments day to day to stay at optimum settings where the f/a wont do it. lol steve

Yep!! been out in the garage day and night..he told me he wanted every single bolt cleaned on his quad so I haven't really had time to get on :p Nahh just been busy lately, working on my Eagle Scout project, workin (learnin a heck of a lot about working on motorcycles), and playing soccer seems to consume all of my time lately. Kinda interesting, I come back on to check the forums and the first thing I see are the pictures in this thread, kinda makes me wanna get off the computer and go back to work :blah:

don't really know if there is a connection , But it seems like alot of the Good 'ol Boys split from here, shortly there after.

x2 most of the bridges are open over the winter but the main ice is alright. we get a 16-20" of ice most years on all of the ice except the bridges. steve
