I would do it, just depends on how beat it is. looks good in the pics .how are the bearings? always liked kawasaki's.

seems like a decent trade, anything wrong with the 700 it looks all stock

Personally i would keep the 400 im not a big fan of the kawi 700 my buddys dad had one and seemed like he always had problems

Its up to u but i think u would regret it later on, think ull regret getting rid of the 400

Nothing at all wrong with the V-force. Been stored more than ridden. Belongs to a friend of mine that just can't handle it. The only prob I have is it's a belt drive automatic but it is wicked fast and handles nice for being over 500 lbs. I'm giving it some serious thought. LOL

Meh depends on what kind of riding you do I guess but I wouldn't do it.

I would. I could care less about the CVT on a sport quad, but those 700 twins are torque monsters!

They don't handle the best, but considering the weight factor they aren't bad. If you ride a lot of open areas I definitely would.

Agreed... Its a nice quad, but depends on the type of riding you do.
You aint jumping the V-Force and you aint doing technical/monster hill climbs. And you won't be as quick or nimble on tight trails.

to the kawisucky . kawasaki made the tecate which wouldn't out handle the 400ex or the 250r but in a drag, honda is the sucky!

I think it is worth it power overrides just about everything and lets be honest it is way more advanced then a 400ex will ever be you got liquid a cooled twin yeah its heavy and hard to lug on tight trails but I've seen some nice Kawi builds out there also only quad I see run with the renegades in the gncc 4x4 unlimited.

I say honda sucks because you say kawasaki sucks. I have owened all brands never had a problem with any jap bike.

Alrighty then....JMO, After several days of intense testing and tuning, I've come to the conclusion that the KFX700 is an awesome Beast. You can easily change the throttle response and stall by replacing a $20 spring in the clutch. The sky is the limit as far as engine mods go also. On the other hand It is literally a "Beast" to handle, High and heavy. The auto clutch takes some serious getting used to also. It is basically a Sled on wheels. IMO it plain Sux. so in conclusion, I'll be keeping my 440EX. I had the "Beast" outrun in the trails and hill climbs. Now in a flat out Drag race it pretty much left me when I hit 3rd gear and all I could do was wave bye-bye. I can say there is prolly not a quicker drag bike to build on than the KFX700, With all the different clutch spring variations and engine mods available for it. The V-Twin Sounds Great and produces plenty of power and Balls out torque. Good Quad, Just doesn't fit my Style of riding, Nor the areas where I ride. Now, take that, drop it down, put it on a diet down to 475 lbs, and swap the thumping V-twin shaft drive for a screaming 2 stroke chain drive...

And you have my Polaris 400....

It has the nice attributes of the KFX, but old school 2 stroke power, and less height and weight.

It's on a medium there in between the 400EX and KFX700.
