loosing coolant

i am loosing coolant from resivoir. the gasket between jug and head was rtv'ed it looks like. is that my problem? oil looks fine.

??? loosing from the reservoir ?? fluid is supposed to transfer automatically to the radiator on its own when its needed . you may have a leaking water pump ,check the weep hole on the bottom of it for coolant

Cataway is right man. Same thing happened to me, it was a slow leak from the water pump. There was a thread on here from a while back, it is the seals from the impeller. You take the water pump cover off, then carefully remove the plate that rests against the case. On the back side is a pressed in piece that prys out usings a very small straight slot screw driver and pair of pliers. It doesn't look like it comes off but it does just be careful. After you pull it you will see there was a blue sealant on it (looks like loctite) it goes bad after while. Press new one in, reassemble and you're on your way again.
