Hey guys,
I need to know how much you an honest price would be on a 400ex valve cover(+rockers), head (+valves, springs, etc), and cylinder, all used.
So far I have found several heads for ~$300, covers for ~$100 and cylinders for $~100. Does that sound about right?
Opinions are greatly appreciated. I need replies within the next 2 days.
Thanks guys
Id say for all of thatyour looking between 500-600 bucks depending on condition and if its stock or not.

$600 then?
I need an 89mm sleeve. Are they readily available?
I have looked on craigslist, ebay, and here with no luck. Any other ideas?
Its probably gonna be harder to find an 89mm sleeve setup.
What may work is to find a stock engine topend and have it done the way you want or buy someones headache that dont run for cheap and use that.

Do you have a ballpark price for the re-sleeving?

never had it done myself so im sorry I dont. I would imagine it would run at least 150. I know to do it you heat up the head very carefully and push the old out and the new in.

on ebay you can get a whole 440 piston kit, complete with sleeved cylinder for around $350.

I see that, but is the cylinder any good? I don't want to buy something that is just going to expand and blow up after 15 hours.
mine came off ebay and its good we spray nos on it. just get one with a wiseco set up and you will be good to go. stay a way from the nurma i think that how you spell it. there no good i dont like there gaskets there crappy as well.
