Rico I got my 250r hood tonight (for my 400) and I need to know how did you mount it. Iva seen pics of your 416 with it and the job looks very clean. did you use the bolts that came with it?? did you cut the hood or something to make it fit cuz the bottom part of mine looks way to high compared to the stock fenders.

I drilled holes in the plastic for the front mounts to fit down in,,and used large washers to keep it from lifting up..It looks nice and smooth this way..

Notice were i cut away the red plastic for the top mounts to fit...

and I just used zipties to attach the top part...You'll need to be imaginative when mounting this up..it took me 2 hours to get it perfect..:eek:

Mine is hooked on almost the same way. I used very short bolts on top though.

I thought about that but with the gas tank right there it skeert me so I just ziptied it..:chinese:

ok rico I figure it out and did mine. I put the things to lock the bolts (dont know how to call it) under the plastic and not the hood like you did... can I lose them or it doesnt matter???

if you use the top bolt that went with it, it will not fit right over the tank and the back brackets wont fit

I only used the bottom bolts and chickini bandied the top part and the fit is perfect..also if you use the top bolts they will slowly wear into the gas tank...

YOu also have to remember this hood was made for a different quad so it will not fit perfect..but you can get it close to perfect if you take your time..
