I would deffinately pass on that one.

He has already torn the top end off, and then let it set for how long ??? nobody knows.
Dirt, water, small furry critters,
have found their way inside. You can bet on that.

Bottom line is, it needs a FULL rebuild to insure ANY level of dependability.

your 400 is already reliable, paid for, and runs.

I wouldn't need a calculator to do that math !

you could spend alot less on you 400ex and make it alot faster then rebuilding that 450r.

i like my shocks like that chancees of snapping off a rezzie are pretty small n if i do ill prolly be more hurt than the quad

im gonnaa keep the 400 i love it i just would like it to be a little different i just dont really wanna dump a whole lot more money in it i bought it for 300 n now have 2000 in it i dont wanna put another 1200 into the motor and still have my buddies 450 with the hrc kit still beat it
i love my 400 but its just not like the new 450s im just gonna wait n save n get the ktm 525 ive wanted forever or maybe the outlaw so i gotta ktm motor n independent suspension
thanks for your help jimmy

Yeah, I'd pass on that one.

At least you aren't in denial on the gap that exists.

A good deal on a 450 will come along sometime and you can buy one and sell the 400.
