on my quad when he just pulled a doughnut
in the middle of the road and started heading
my way so I hauled @$$ and found the nearest
barn and shot into it. It scared the crap outa
me cause down here they dont give tickets, they
take you home and impound ur quad.

I'm w/ BatGeek on this one, I wish people would stop blaming cops because of their own idiocy. I have had 2 of my favorite riding places closed because of morons on 4-wheelers.

Running from the cops, that'll make everything all better. Maybe you'll get away (this time) but you are just ruining it for those of us that are trying to be a decent example of what riders can be.

So, for those of you who run from the cops, ride unregistered, ride where you aren't supposed to be, etc. etc. etc. I would like to personally thank you for being the person/s responsible for the closing of some great riding places.

Hot-Rod, in no way am I saying that you are this person you could very well be the person catching the wrath of the local police department because of the "person/s" I spoke of above.

I'm a law abidding citizen for the most part... i'll admit that I have broken a law or two in my time;) But what ticks me off the most is when someone comes on here admitting to breaking the law or not saying what they got caught/ticketed for and b!tches about how bad the police are.

If you're doing something that is against the law and get caught, no matter how minor the offense is, treat the officer with respect, and there is a possibility you will get a warning. Treat the officer poorly, you WILL get ticketed and be adding to poor reputation of off road riders.

What/who's property were you riding on? Public/private? Did you have permission to ride there? If it's against the law don't do it. If you don't like the laws, go to the local government and argue your case. Yes it's easier said than done, but what else is there?

Why did you run? You never said if your riding leagaly or not. Running from the police is very selfish and gives the rest of us a bad name. If you're doing something illegal and get caught, step up to the plate and take your punishment.

well everyone has their own opinion about this i see. now where i live the popo don't really care as long as you stay away from the black top. in fact i ride my quad to work some days and actually pass a cop car on the back roads. they stopped me first and told me that i can drive on back roads as long as im on the right side of the road, use handsigns, and not speed pr drive dangerousley, which is fine by me. now about running, just don't do it.

Just my opinion but $112 isnt chit, when i crossed a creek on my quad it cost me $500 and 25 hours of community service and 6 months of probation. And the conservation chit wads never even saw me do it, they just new my trails went through a creek, that had been ravaged by bulldozers and construction workers trucks.:scary:
