ok well i have a 440 kit. i ride decently hard, tight trails, and hillclimbing. basically XC stuff. if i do ride im not reving it out or staying at a high rpm. i use the power a 4 stroke has to offer. bottom-midend power and rpm range. i would say 30-45% of the time im full throttle, and the other % is half throttle to barly a 1/4 of throttle. DO I NEED A BIGGER OIL COOLER? tempeture in ohio when i ride is from 75-90 but mosly 80-86'f

just do what most people do, and get a 4" spal fan

im building mine from the ground up and im currently collecting parts for a 440 stroker

right now im building my cooling setup, but its alot more tedious than most peoples

I got a aluminum oil cooler thats twice the size of stock

CFM racing +1 oil tank

5.2" spal puller fan

im doing SS braided lines on it also, trying to figure out what AN hoses and fittings i need(My cooler has AN outlets)

kinda being a pain, but gonna be G when its done

prolly end up spending about $400 dollars on the whole setup, but im sure it will be worth it

is it overheating? then ya, you need some cooling assistance. if not, then no leave it alone.

Spal fan is a much better solution. Easier install too.

what is your 440 jetted at and what carb are you running?

spal fan is a easier solution to heat issues rather then a oil cooler but a quad ruuning to lean will give major heat issues, even a stock atv jetted to lean will run to hot.

if the jetting is proper get either the bigger oil cooler or the spal fan or both, DO NOT run two oil coolers!!!
