It sounds likes its ticking real hard in the top end and will usually shut the quad off at idle. It seems to only do it at idle which is low enough for the lights to dim but is where it always has been. My valve clearances are right, timing is right, and there are no bent valves or piston damage so I don't know what it could come from. I was thinking maybe the decompression mechanism was staying engaged at a higher rpm for some reason but don't know how to check. I don't know if it is just my 450 but my idle is either low or high, there is no fine adjustment and I like it low for braking but mainly for when I put it in gear.
