Diff. In Carb Qs?

I have a large kehin carb laying around, it came off a quadzilla.
I have been told that you cant interchage 2stroke, and 4stroke carbs?? Why is that? If it is true, can they be made to work?
Its free, the 39fcr is $450 see where I am going with this?

why would you want to do that.the old carb doesnt have an accelerator pump. plus it wont work right.

Has anyone actually tried one? Thats the answer I have always gotten..It wont work..I want to know the theory why other than it wont. 2 Strokes do fine without an accl pump, I know the motors are comp different, but they but both work on the same principles..They pull through the carb, the venturi, blah blah, has anyone tried. If not, I am gonna be a guinea pig. I like trying new stuff.

just find an old ****ty 4 stroke dirtbike and take that quadzilla carb and pop it on. It wont hurt the carb any
