I welded a little tab on the bars and put the stock cluster back on,then I got flexx bars and just got rid of the lights all together and put the key under the hood

A lot of guys go with the Rox dash panels to solve this issue.

Put them in your plastics or buy/make a rox style dash.

If you dont want to put them in your plastics trail tech makes a decent set up. The clam comes with a cool looking TRX emblem made into it on top.

I wish I had a few pictures of this after it was installed?

I went to Lowes and bought a piece of Lexan for $4, cut it to the size i needed, rounded off the corners and mounted it to the handle bar clamp. Then just drilled the holes i needed to put the lights and ignition in.

No not really other than if you are using the stock handle bar clamp as I am you will need a couple of washers under the Lexan so that it mounts flat. Other than that just measure, cut, round off the corners. Lexan is supposed to be unbreakable, but I figure if it breaks, it only cost me $4 and about 30 minutes of my time.

Oh one thing I should have done was move the key switch down just a bit. When removing my key I have to push in on the handle bar pad so that the key has enough clearence to get in or out.

Here is a picture of my set up, I bought the part off of Motosports.
It was easy to install.

I originally was going to put it on my 400 and then put that setup onto my 450. That is why you don't see a neutral light but obviously you would put the lights in the holes. I love the bars and the custom clamps with TRX are nice.

Dimensions? I picked up some Lexan today and I'm wondering how big I should cut it.

If I had to find a place to put the lights I would just get rid of them, do you really need a light to tell you if you’re in neutral or reverse?
I didn’t think so, but those set ups do look good though.

This is stainless steel mounted under the hood U-bolted to the headlight support bar with some cable clamps.

oh for heavens sakes, here you go
http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=444895
this all of our designs as of about 5-6 hours ago

and to get the lights out just put a screwdrver under the green and red plastic lens and pull them up, they are only pressed in the rubber. it is much easier if you unplug the from the wiring harness and remove the cluster completely before you try to take them out.

Hey, thanks guys for the ideas.
We're gonna make one out of Lexi that we have in the shop. I'm trying to come up with a cool shape for it and then we are going to paint it flourescent green to match my hood, rims, and whip.
We'll post some pics in a couple weeks.....first we gotta go to the dunes a couple times.

you could do it this way if you wanted to keep the stock dash.
