trying to let off on the preload on my front axis shocks, but the springs are so strong, i can't get them down to move the circlip up? any tricks or do they make a small cheap spring compresser?

You do have the quad lifted with wheels off ground when doing this?Mount the shock in a vice by the eyelet. Then use a ratchet tiedown.Hook both ends at top of spring and around the vice below the shock.Could probably do same thing on quad at least for fronts.Wierd that Axis has that much preload.Tender spring must be totally compressed.Dont normally run them like that.

yeah, quad is on the stand...i never had a problem before. these shocks are setup with tons of preload...bought them used that way. thanks for the tip.

I have been able to use decent hose clamps before to compress springs. You may want to give that a try.
