250r Swingarm Lenght?????

What is the lenght of a 86 or 87 swingarm? does anyone know? please help soon!!!

i noticed in a dirtwheels when they were doing specs on the top race quads that alot of the 250R's were running 18" swingarms, so, maybe like 19 or 20? sorry i couldnt help

I'm trying to figure out if this swingarm is shortend or not, it's 19 3/4 inches long. It looks shortened but the guy says it probably isn't. But it was just powdercoated before he got it so maybe you cant really see the welds too good cuz they new powdercoat silvervein. here is a link to it!

go look at your own swingarm, then it if it looks the same, it is. it looks to me like its shortened, simply because the carrier is so close to where the linkage mounts.

Yea, i know, it does look shortened and thats what i want! but the guy says he doesnt think it its! My R is at the mechanic right now and they're not open at the moment so im kinda screwed right now!

ok, i think i got it. the stock 400EX swingarm is around 22" from the front of the mounts to the very back of the carrier. an 88-89 swingarm is +1 1/4", and the 86-87 is 1 inch longer than that, right? so i think the stock length is like 24 1/4 inches from the front of the mounts to the very back of the carrier, hope this helps

the 250r swingarm is 2 inches shorter than stock 400ex
