Thanks for the info. Should the feet of the rocker arms that ride on the cam be flat or curved? Mine are curved. I will post some pictures.

Does changing to aftermarket effect performance or just longevity. I understand that when using a hardened cam you need to use hardened rockers but if using a hot cam stage II does it matter?

Hotcams are of the same hardness as the stock rockers so no need for hard faced rockers. They are considered a "drop-in" cam.

Hardened rockers on a non-hardened cam is not a wise pairing. If the rockers were out of spec you would need OEM replacements.

once you lose the coating on the rockers they will start to chip off pieces. once that happens you know you need new ones.
