Predator with FCR39?

Anyone out there running a Predator with an 39mm FCR (YFZ) carb? I'm considering swapping out the stock Mikuni because I just cannot get it dialed in, it's good but has cold start issues.

I've also considered switching to a 450R carb, thoughts on that?

My goal is to eliminate the Vaccum fuel pump and swap to a non Vaccum carb. I think some of my problem is fuel supply just after startup.

I run a 450r carb, it's very temperamental. I have to re-jet it every place i take it. But when you can get it running good... it runs great.

Oh yea, it also floods like crazy. Sometimes it takes me half the morning to get it running right.

i have a 03 500 predator with a 05 450 r carb on it and it runs great with very few problems it took me a little bit to get it figured out but now its great....when i was running a stock bore with the 450 carb my pilot was a 55 and main was a 195 a/f screw was 2-3/4 turns out but i was running a k/n air filter and custom intake tube

It seems like every time i fill mine up the jetting needs to be re-done. Maybe it's because i ride and various altitudes. Or maybe it's just the carb
