What's the trick?
I have the bike stripped down to the frame and the last thing to do before sending it out for powder coating is getting the lower ball joints out. Top ones came out fine, the bottom ones don't want to move. I used a "C" clamp style ball joint removal tool and all it did was bubble out the flat side of the ball joint. I don't have a press in the garage and the local machine shop wants $16 bucks each to push them out... I'm going to try an alignment shop... I figure they must have a press and the adapters for ball joints... Does anyone have a garage trick for getting them out before I pay someone to do it?
