250x 300ex engine painting

How do I get my engine to look like this? Not sure the best engine paint to use, but this is a clean looking motor. I have done a bunch of different google searches and have found only 1 nice looking 250x/300ex motor.

Anyone have any tips, or pictures of their own?

looks like he just polished some of the aluminum parts and for the black, its just a high temp engine paint found at any auto parts store. i like how the ends of the cooling fins are sanded to add some shine to it.

looks like way too much work though.

That’s kinda what I was thinking too…a lot of work. I just am not used to seeing good looking ATV engines. Does anyone have any tips on getting corrosion off the bare aluminum?

Looks like my engine has lived in the dunes next to the salt water. I would like to get it to look a bit better. Is my only option sand/polish? Thanks.

thats a molycoated engine. ask pappy about it
