Worst thing you've hit on your quad?

What's the worst thing you guys have hit on your ATV?

Tonight I was riding... it was dark out, and I didn't have my lights on (it wasn't fully dark yet). Anyways I was coming up to a corner in 3rd gear, doing about 60 km/h on this bumpy *** field of mine, downshifted to second for the turn, braked, then took off, only to notice this thing in the way which happened to be a rabbit. It hopped off, but I slammed on the brakes as soon as I realized what it was. Then I saw like 5 baby rabbits hop off as well... I braked as hard as I could but still managed to hit the 6th baby. It was so small and cute... I picked it up and it was gasping for air... then it died... and I buried it near my barn.

i hit a turkey,and smacked a tree(turkey with my 250ex and tree with my 250ex)my worst thing ive done on my 400 so far is land funny on my 400ex and it hurt my neck and wrist pretty bad,mainly wrist

not a quad but I smacked a crow on my old 900RR at about 90. Damn near ripped me off the bike, felt like a baseball bat.

when i went straight, my bars were turned halfway to the right well ive hit one a couple times actually,one on my 400-i was going about halfway through third gear and i saw and i pulled the front end up,then my rear end hit just bout flipped me over head over heels!then the other time i was going about midway through 2nd and clipped a tree and hurt my wrist but that was back on my 250

i hit the ground! A few times. lol but the last time i rode i went over the bars and the quad ran me over so do i count as 1 of the worse things i have ever hit? lol

I almost hit a deer at Hatfield-McCoy one year. It jumped out in front of me, then made a bee-line down the trail for a good ways before darting into the woods.

Back in the 80’s I had a brand new Honda 200x at I went blasting down the side of a bayou that I road all the time and I came up on a sink hole that was 50 foot across and about 20 feet deep. I hit it at 50 + mph and with no lip to give me any lift all I could think to do was jump strait up of the bike. I barley cleared the other side buy sadly the bike didn’t make it. It pretty much totaled the bike and I walked away with some scrapes and bruises.

Then again it could have been the time I hit a culvert hiding in some deep grass I was blasting through at 70 mph on a yz 250.I’m zipping along through the weeds and al of the sudden I’m air bourn with out a bike. i never saw that one comeing. lol

Well hit the ground a couple times haha

Then ripping throw the woods on my old 400 trying to keep up with my buddy on his crf250r, i came around a tight corner and a tree jumped out in front of me well needless to say i hit it HARD about 4th pinned sliding around a blind corner haha

No but really there is a tree right in the middle of the trail and u can go left or right well i decided to go straight

Bend my bars, Bent my right rim really bad almost snaped my tie-rod and tweaked my a-arms

Also a ground hog a couple rabbits, clipped a turkey but it lived, almost a couple deer

i hit a turkey. the quad didnt hit it at all. i was chasing it messing around and when i was like 4 feet from it it desided to jump up and fly and it bounce off my shoulder hurt pretty bad. almost took me off the back of the quad.

then another time i was riding and swirved towards a deer it jumped out of the way then it jumped over the back of my quad tripping on the back fender.

Hit a fawn a couple weeks ago felt horrible about it but after a couple minutes of being stunned it got up and ran off, just glad it wasnt momma deer

Ha I hit my brother head on and we were both in second gear. My bumper ended up behind my plastics. And Ive hit quite a few trees and the ground.

trees once, was riding on a rather narrow raised area with a ravine on both sides, ground gave way on my left side and I got stuck in the trees.

Couldnt get it free myself and I had gotten lost from my buddies so I walked back to the trucks and no buddies and they left thier cells behind. Happened upon 2 guys in a pickup and we managed to get it out thank god.

Lots and lots and lots of trees, a two big round haybales, a squirrel, a dog, and almost a deer. The worst that I ever almost hit was some little girls spectating. That really made me pucker up.

We have a little store at the end of my dead end street and I would rid my Honda 250r three wheeler down there to get things from time to time. I was coming back with a lap full of groceries, and a pit bull came out of no where and ran strait into the side of the left foot peg. The groceries went everywhere I had to turn hard to keep from flipping in the middle of the road, took out a chain link fence and the wire gave but the top rail staid put and close lined me right off the bike.
I do remember seeing the dog spinning on all fours in the middle of the road as I was careening toward the fence. lol
The dog was fine and so was I but it happened over 20 years ago and I still remember it like it was yeaserday.

I hit the ground hard a couple of times. One time I didn't get out of the way of my bike and had it land on me, dislocated my hip.

A friend hit a jack rabbit and had its head get caught in his nerf bars, that was kinda sick

i was messing around in a small pit, and there was a drainage ditch to the side with a berm about 2 feet high. i was pulling some small wheelies off the brem to make it over the ditch. i managed it a few times, but then i stalled as my back wheels made it to the top of the berm...dropping the front into the ditch. my front bumper hit the ground so hard it got bent out of shape. the crash caused me to do a front flip off the seat to the ground.

last week i was at a new pit. the kid who showed it to me told me to watch out for a stump to the right of a flooded area. needless to say i hit it in 3rd on the 400 and flipped it into 8 inches of nasty muddy water, with me landing next to it...luckily it was my brothers quad

I hit a deer 5th gear pinned coming over a hill on my 450r needless to say I went about 20 feet farther then the quad:( :( :( :(

yea that sounds pretty bad my friend was just putsin around and i hit him comming off a jump... my left a-arm put his bars inside his gastank, and left me with a pretty nice fleshwound

I hit barbed wire once going 4th gear pinned on my 400 once SCARY!!!!!!!but two of my riding buddies hit me from behind. once I was sitting at a dead stop in the middle of a 300 foot wide field and my buddy hit me frim behind 6th gear on his blaster, ambulence for both of us!!!!!

i was talking to the guy plowing the parking lot at work and he was saying a few years back he left the bucket to his loader up while he went inside to get a coffee. well while he was inside this idiot in a snowmobile tried to roost the bucket. apperenntly his sled went straight under the bucket with his body and his head didnt make it.

I hit a Rottweiler, its head has even with my headlight from a 1987 250x. I was about 17 years old then but ended up cracking my helmet and had a mild concussion. Fun times =)

I've had a similar thing happen to me back when I had my yfz, I was riding through a grassy field and took out about 10 baby turkey. I didn't even realize they were there until they were right underneath me and it was too late to try to turn away from them.

My neighbor at my farm jumped out of the bushes today, I was going like 40mph so I had to get on those brakes FAST. He was just asking if I could "go make noise" on the other side of my property since he had company over, lol.

On the old KX I hit a German Shepherd going like 5mph. I didn't even fall off the bike. :D

Hit a few holes with the same bike, the bike did a perfect front flip and landed rubber-down on my chest.

The worst wreck was on that KX, I over-shot a berm and the bars and pegs dug into the ground and slung me 30 feet. Man-ed up and rode on. :scary:

I ran over a few turkeys with the Ex. :devil:

I hit my friends German Sheppard on a trike going 5 mph, he went under all 3 wheels and yelped then walked it off.

My bikes fork seals were leaking and were pretty much shot, in a field in 3rd I hit a small square hole so hard the front end came up and my wrists hurt.

Saw a guy at an old Missouri Harescrable in the 90's hit a pig at full speed. He cart wheeled for about 100 feet. Pig got up and ran off and died.

I went threw a 3 strand bare wire fence in Fl. at GNCC in late 90's. Two of wire caught me under my right arm pit. I got lucky that it only scraped up my side.

Rounding a corner at reddick florida mx. it was an off camber corner. REALLY off camber. it was a left hand corner, the left side of the track was prob twenty feet higher then the right. the track was only three lanes wide. it was steep. guy was taking the corner at the top and rolls. he rolled right in front of me. I was flying around the bottom, he was at the top, didnt see him flip. he made for a hell of a speedbump. i broke his arm an a few other bones. I was sitting on my nerfbar and just holding it wide open, the way i was sitting i was blind to anything on the right side of the track and anything above my shoulder. I kinda felt bad, placed third though.

It just killed me, i heard him yell in pain. i wanted to stop but, its racin. they didnt red flag the race, so that means he got off of the track. ouch.
