View Full Version : Carbon Hood Installation

How do you attach the carcon hood to the 400EX? I just bought one but it's for an R. I was told to cut "split" my front hood into two pieces. Like a left and right side. Any suggestions? The reason I as is because of course the EX has a more curved nose vs. a flatter hood on an R.

I just installed mine and found if you just set your hood on your plastic mark and drill holes to mount it and if you have a scoop just cut where you can see your fenders through the scoop this will leave plenty of plastic under the hood for strength.:D

Yeah, I finally figured it out. I actually split my front fender in half. Making a left and a right. I left just a little showing like you described. Thanks for the reply nonetheless. Next time I just might get the quadtech that's made for the 400.

I will, it does look a lttle bare. I just got it together this past weekend.
