I'm looking to put a leveling kit on my 2008 Tacoma. I was wondering what the best option for this would be?

I have a Truxxx levling kit on my 07 Tundra.

A lot of people go with the strut spacers , which is what the Truxxx kit is. You can do it in the garage in a matter of a few hours. I chose the option of the spacer that goes on top of the strut , rather than the one where you have to compress it and install the spacer.

Be sure to get an alignment after you're done though .

I've read that they are a bad option if you offroad. I don't really offroad much but I want my truck to be reliable and still ride well.

Go with a Daystar leveling kit. Google it.

Plenty of people I know have spacers with no ill effects-only when you add larger than 2 inch high spacers will you have an issue.

Also a good idea to put small hose clamps over the clamps on the CV axles, this way no grease can come out.

I've taken my truck offroad with no problems at all. There has been no difference in the ride or the way it handles..... just makes the truck sit nice and level.

If you crank your torsion bars, you will have issues with a harder ride, quicker wear etc...Leveling kits are designed to reduce that. Just make sure you get an alignment after though and possibly new shocks if you wanna keep a really nice ride.

The only problem with leveling kits is you lose down travel. I would only go 1 1/2" if possible. You won't really notice it on the road but even on really easy trails you will notice the suspension maxing out on some bumps.
