well i am not a racer but i ride my buddies track here and there and lots of trails and sandpits and just free ride in feilds. i am planning on doing a 416 10:1 wiseco with a hotcam stage 1 with mild ported head. i have a full yosh system and thats pretty much all for engine mods but further down the road i want to do a 450r carb i heard about a yfz 39 mil? or anyones imput to a different one i also have a amuminum airbox and uni clamp on style filter. i have um propegs and new holeshots all the way around 20s in the back 21s up front now what gearing should i run?
ANY ADVICE WILL BE GRATEFUL thanks,Nick have a few pics but the engine is in a crate in my run waitinig for gaskets to be put together and the greatest thing i got it all for 500bucks and it olny neeeded minor honing and piston
I say you do 4:16 and 11:1 and if you want really lowend power stg 1 cam or midrange to higher rpm go stg 2 cam.
I have 416, stg 2 cam, 11:1 w/slip on and its FAST.

sounds like a good setup to me :D you will like that setup it has put smiles on my face for over 2 yrs. the studs will most likely be alright and i like my 15/38 for general trail riding but some like the 14/38 also. steve

10:1 and 11:1 should be good for the most part. usually 11:1 is alright on 93 as long as it is fresh. steve

imo not much. my stage 1 10:1 ran ahead of a 11:1 stage 2 easy enough. it did before my 450 carb and stage 2. so they are pretty close to the same imo. steve
I find the lowend is about where it was stock-maybe a bit more-but once the rpms kick up say 2nd or 3rd it wants to pull the front up if i give it to much throttle.

valve seals and a valve lap would be good while you have it apart. then it should be good for quite some time again. steve
