retro plastic swap

i have an 05 400ex with stock plastics. but unfortunatly when my little brother borrowed my quad his fat friend sat on the back and put a crack in the plastics near the seat. i plan on just drilling some holes and zip tie itfor now. but i found a screaming deal on a full set of carbon fiber plastics but they're for first generation plastics. can i put those on my quad and just change the lights?

sorry i worded tht kinda wierd im alittle ticked off though. i meant the plastics are first generation and i have a second generation quad.

Hey! 03 plastics are not retro. Haha. I have seen the swap done. It looks much better IMO. I believe there was a write up for it somewhere.
