key&ignition

I have an 01 400ex and I was wondering if an 04+ key and ignition would plug into the 01 harness

I would think both will but the ignition may have a bit more for the reverse setup on the new ones. it is from 05 and up to look for also. 04 is the same and would be a direct fit so in that case you would be fine. steve
