looks okay. dont know the op's stance on the film. utv's made it but no classic vets in the trailer? not trying to be critical or nothing, just an observation that's all. op What is the motive, or direction of this video? I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but rather wanting to 'jump on board' good production so far:cool:

What do you mean by "classic vets"? I'm sure there is a bunch more in the vid that isn't in the trailer.

The movie is like the Huevos series I'm guessing, but seems much simpler and more watchable.

Most people grew tired of Wes Miller's editing... It got out of hand after a while. There wasn't a clip in the movie without slow motion, replays, seizure producing flashes... They weren't even movies towards the end.

Shipman's film looks like it takes things back to simple, but classy editing where we can actually enjoy the movie and watch entire clips as they're meant to be shown. The sport needs a good, high quality movie like this. I'm super excited for it. This movie will be far better than "okay".

mxduner, you gotta get pumped up man!!!! :p

Thanks for the props guys! I wanted to shoot a video that went deep into riding with interviews with racing as well as freestyle. I didn't want to put anything that had been done before and for those who like watching riding as well as meaningful commentary, you will like this video. It's somewhat narrated by myself and more by the riders themselves about their segment and what it took to get where they are. Dustin Wimmer and I shot at his practice track so I have a great segment of that. I also went to Caleb and Colten Moore's place to shoot with all of the Bomb Squad rider's in the U.S. and went to Wes Miller's to shoot at his spot. There are a ton of racer's and fmx riders in there with a great soundtrack! If your hair on your arms doesn't stand up while watching the video, then I have failed. Also, this will not be a $30.00 purchase! It is more affordable than DVD's now days but matches the quality!

Thought that since I have the chance to view your opinion's that I'd give more insight.

Thanks again,
Blake

Looks good Blake! Cant wait to see the movie. Im glad that you are going to have some commentary in it. Im sure non riders will like it too. I know when I show my friends that dont ride some quad videos they get bored because its just all riding segments without commentary. They dont really appreciate the riding in it like us guys that actually ride. They like to hear interviews and commentary so they know whats going on. I enjoy videos that have good commentary too. Like with some of the older Huevos, Carpe Diem, and The Factory in the bonus section they have Wes, Brad Phillips, Brandon Boulay commentate on the whole movie. After I watch the movies for the first time I like to go to the bonus section and hear what they have to say about the movie and how segments were made and stuff like that.

I do have a segment of a minis racers he shreds hard! He is dominating the TQRA series, very cool segment! It's crazy to get a kid who's too shy to speak on camera but will huck an 80ft double on a blaster!

i vouche for that kid he is insane on that blaster, when iv made it to the tqra he dominates. also he came up and race a ckms(central kansas motorcross series) and he was running pro am(thats right) on his blaster and held his own with them.

Not sure if it's been said but if your releasing a DVD, please offer two different versions, with music overtop of the video and one with some filler music and mostly hearing the bikes run. I like to listen to the sounds of a good exhaust ripping something and honestly, terrain studies. Carpe Diem did it, a worthy option.

Will we be able to understand the words in the songs of the soundtrack? All the huevos movies have that annoying screamo crap....it gets you pumped for about 5 minutes and then I hit mute. when I show those videos to older people or people who don't ride they lose interest very quickly due to the soundtracks..

and a big X2 on the engine sounds:macho

I love the screamo music but I agree its good to have variety. I like it when a video has a song you wouldnt normally like but it goes so well that you end up loving it.

I totally agree,
Im not a big screamo music fan. Some of it I will listen to and some I won't. Although I have heard some music on riding vids that I wouldn't normally listen to but after having a visual and audio experience it brings a whole new level to the music. I have bought several cds after hearing the music on videos.

i went up to my walmart and found it instantly with some other dirt bike films.

The movie itself was awesome. i liked it more then Huevos. Huevos tried to hard on camera tricks. This guy used the right camera angles and just enough camera tricks when needed, nothing over board. You can also hear the exhaust during the BA sound track.

best $5 you'll spend at Walmart to support our sport!!

So where do you order it online???? I checked the Walmart site and they say they are out of stock.

You know if this is to promote and help the sport you would think it would be a little easier to find to purchase. I am a quad person looking for it to purchase. Do you think someone that has no idea about quad racing would go thru the trouble if it this difficult?

No don't think they are sold out. In an earlier post mamaknothead
said that she had bought a few extra copies in case someone couldn't find it. All of her extras are gone.

I finally got me a copy of this movie. Couldn't find it at my local Walmart but found it at a Walmart about 45 miles away. Def. worth the $5 price.

I didn't see it in the $5 bin at my local Wally world, but found it on the $5 shelf. Never noticed before, but they have shelves with $5-$7-$9 and such. ;)

Just picked it up last night from the 5$ bin. Had to do some real digging and some major elbowing to get to it. Man those people were surrounding that thing like a bunch of ethiopians around a x-mas ham. None the less it was worth the battle and 5$. Great movie and great soundtrack.

Great movie for $5. With a little more diversity in types of riding, it would be right up there with the Huevos videos.

lasher45

I picked it up last night at the $5 bin aswell. It took about 15 minutes of digging and having a little kid looking for blues clues and kids bop throw a DVD at my head and hit me :huh. LOL, but it was well worth the frustration of that and people throwing more DVD's in the area I'm trying to look in.

There was alot of freestyle and could of had more racing though. It was pretty cool to see the Moore brothers and Dustin Wimmer in a more personal way than music and huge tricks. It was a great watch though.

fastredrider44
11-29-2010, 08:11 PM
I found it in about 3 minutes. I was impressed with the video, but def. would have liked to see some XC racing, and more racing in general. Maybe a little less freestyle.:blah:

Either way, enjoyed the video, especially for $5!
