ok i have got a superatv stem on my quad. the problem im having it that it's way hard to turn now i loosened up the clamp and it helped but i don't want it to be loose. any ideas? could the powder coating cause this?

I thought about this a couple days ago when you posted it and didn't really come up with much except that the stem may be bend or you tightened the nut on the bottom of the stem too much? I can't remember if the nut on the bottom only tightens a certain amount and then stops. It's been a few years since I put a stem in my old Z :p ...But check that out. That's all I got :ermm:

I had that LTR, i had a houser stem that was powder coated black, I had to biff off the powder coating where the top bushin went on then i just used locktite on those bolts, and didnt tighten them up to much, no more than it would allow me. Been running it for over a full season so far with no problems with it coming loose
