I've been recently looking at getting some new tires. I need rears really bad and fronts will have to be replaced soon also. I'm only 15 so i'm kinda tight on money. I'm looking at the Kenda Kutter Xc for the rears. Anybody know how well they hook up and how much life do you get out of them. Any other tire suggestions would help too.

Razr 2s will last a long time on a 400ex. Look for some fast XC racers, and they should have some good used tires they will sell you. I sell a lot of my old pull offs.

I ride mostly trails and soft coal and lime piles. I live right next to 2 old mining plants. Lotts of hill climbs need something thats gonna hook up really good on soft stuff. I ride mx track sometime at my buddies place but only like a few times a month. Also Fastredrider44 i've heard from my friend who has Razr 2's on his raptor that they were way to quick. Now i'm looking at getting Hole Shot HD's on front and rear.

HDs are good tires too. But Razr2s won't wear nearly as quick on a 400. It just doesn't have the power to the wheels that the raptor has. The main thing is to stay off the roads. That will eat a tire in no time.

Well i just ordered Holeshot HD's front and rears. I didn't think of it like that how the raptor wore those down so quick. No more road riding for me lol. Thats what happend to my stockers.

it's always fun to find a good tire that's cheap and hooks and wears good. I run a Duro IT on my bike and it's amazed me! It's wearin awesome and hasn't chunked at all! If you've got the money the spendy tires are worth it but sometimes you get lucky and find a damn good tire for cheaper
