OK, I buy the two 450s for 8000.00. they are 2008 modle. I use the racer support program, should get an additional 2000.00 off, 1000.00 each right? How does that part work? Does Can Am reimburse the dealer?

Just realized the 08s are 2000.00 off, so that should be 4000.00 off from 2 quads?

That should already be worked into your price.. I think. I believe the dealer gets reimbursed. I could be wrong though.

I offered him 8k for the last 2 450s he had. I havent submitted the racer support info yet. So the way i am seeing it, if he gets reinbursed, that should be another 2 grand off each.
I am going today. Just want to make sure i understand the reimbursement part.

Damn, I'm looking for a bike to get into racing, something I've wanted to do for years, and it seems like production class and 4-stroke C is the best start. I gotta look around for a 450 on a deal like this.

Sounds good, keep my screen name saved, I'll be looking from here on out. The ol' 400ex isn't going to cut it.

All the racer support program does is intantly void your warranty.

People say this all the time, how much does a warranty cover when you race MX anyways? The racer support program is the best in the industry. Other companies should follow suit.

When you're riding a Can Am you need to save all the money you can, you will be replacing parts. I have never seen a quad plaqued with so many problems. From over heating ECU's to frames that don't line up right. I race with several of them and I don't know of a single one that has not broke down yet. Their MX version, the local shop set up my buddies with correct sag and everything else for MX. With the quad setup like this and all the wheels off the ground, you can physically move the spring on his rear shock. The spring has actually come out of the seat and caused his shock to not work properly.

stoopidbot you seem like a hater kinda lol 2 450's for 4000 is better then anything else available and the reason there plagued with all the problems is they were built and designed for a 250 2 stroke motor not a torque heavy 450 and as far as the warranty goes read the fine print you ignorant pos for any quad the second you open it up the warranty is void just like a computer some warranty's even go as far as to say if aftermarket parts arent installed by a shop mechanic then the warranty is void so imo you should keep your hater *** comments to yourself and stay on your suzuki or kawi lol whatever pos you ride

Can we get back on topic, I assume it was $4,000 for EACH, but I'll let the original poster answer and am interested as well.

It was 4000 each. with the racer support program for the 2008 modles its an additional 2000 off from each. so i got both for 4000.00

I've talked to multiple dealers and this was the similar story, the discussion now is that the discounted price includes the racer discounts.

wali2408
08-31-2010, 11:03 AM
ya thats what i heard also. But it doesnt seem right because now you can get the racer discount without applying you just dont get the parts

yfzracer14

guys, print off the racer support info, u can get it from can ams website, it will show the 2000 off from the 08 modle ( you must be accepted into the racer support program). go to your dealer, negotiate your price, then have them submit your racer info, if accepted you will get an additional 2k off. Dont let the dealer tell you otherwise. They get reinbursed by can am!!! I heve bought 4 of these bikes!!

I've talked with Mark's Motorsports down in CT a few times, and discussed it with a few guys who race here in the NEATV circuit. Supposedly Mark's is one of the top dealers for the DS450 so they are very familiar with the racer discounts and supports. There prices that are listed on the internet and that will be given over the phone all include a little * saying the price includes the racer discounts and supports.

I feel like what you guys are mentioning above is negociations with dealerships that are somewhat clueless to the way the whole program works. Does this sound correct or no?

yfzracer14
09-02-2010, 05:11 PM
THE DEALER GETS REINBURSED FOR THE DISCOUNT FROM CAN-AM DIRECTLY. IT YOU CANT GET ONE FOR AROUND 4000 TO 4500 AND THEN GET THE DISCOUNT ON TOP OF THAT THAN THE DEALER IS SCREWING YOU OVER!!!!!!!

TJ Bradley
09-15-2010, 05:15 PM
So are these discounts the same for the 09's? or just the 08's

yfzracer14
09-15-2010, 05:17 PM
09's are 1000.00 off

TJ Bradley
09-15-2010, 05:55 PM
So thatd be what? 7k.??

yfzracer14
09-15-2010, 06:28 PM
1k off the negotiated price, if you qualify for the racer support program
